Placing an order using PC/Desktop

Step 1: Click on the link above to enter Bybit's USDT perpetual contract trading
page.
Step 2: To open a postion, locate the order placement zone on the right side of
the trading page.
Step 3: Inside the order placement zone, take note of the following before
clicking on 'Open Long' or 'Open Short'
Step 4: After clicking on 'Open Long' or 'Open Short', an order confirmation
window will appear. Confirm your order details and click on 'Confirm'.
You have successfully placed an order on Bybit.

Limit orders pending for execution and conditional orders pending for trigger
will be recorded inside the 'Active' & 'Conditional' tabs within the 'Positions'
tab Traders have the option to cancel such orders before they are executed or

Traders are limited to placing 200 active orders and 10 conditional orders at any
one given time.

Step 2: Locate the 'Positions' tab on the bottom part of the trading page.
Step 3: Locate the 'Active' and 'Conditional' tabs as shown below
Step 4: To cancel your active or conditional orders, click on the 'Cancel'

like to cancel all orders with a single click.
Step 5: The cancellation of orders is confirmed when the following message
appears on the bottom-right corner of the trading platform

Adjusting margin to your position can make your position less prone (increase
margin) to liquidation
Step 1: Click on the link above to enter Bybit's USDT perpetual contract trading

Step 2: Locate the 'Positions' tab on the bottom part of the trading page.
Step 3: Inside the 'Positions' tab, look for the 'Position Margin' column and
click on the pencil icon
Step 4: A pop-out window will appear. Select whether to increase or decrease
margin and manually key in the amount of margin. The lowest amount of margin that
can be increased/decreased is 0.0001 USDT. The maximum amount of margin that can
be added is equal to position value - position margin. Click on the 'Confirm'
button to proceed
Step 5: Adjusting of margin is confirmed when the following message appears
on the top-middle part of the trading platform
You have successfully increased or decreased the additional margin to your
position on Bybit
Instead of having to manually decrease the additional margin amount to reset it
to zero, another alternative method to quickly reset additional margin to zero is

The main purpose of activating AMR is to enable additional margin equal to the
position's initial margin to be 'replenished' into the position to avoid being

Step 2: Locate the 'Positions' tab on the bottom part of the trading page.
Step 3: On the right side of the 'Positions' tab, locate the 'AutoMargin' column.
Slide the button to the right to activate the AMR function (slider changes to
orange)
Note: To deactivate the AMR function, simply slide the button to the left (slider
changes back to grey)
Step 4: Adjusting of margin is confirmed when either the following message
appears on the top-middle part of the trading platform

1) Use the 'Close By' function inside Positions tab

Step 2: Locate the 'Positions' tab on the bottom part of the trading page.
Step 3: On the right side of the 'Positions' tab, locate the 'Close By' column.
Click on 'Limit' or 'Market' to close your position, either partially or the
entire position.
Step 4: After clicking on either 'Limit' or 'Market', a pop out window will
appear Adjust your settings accordingly and click on 'Confirm' to close your
position

When your exisitng position is a long position, order direction = Sell
When your exisitng position is a short position, order direction = Buy
